  1. List all credited courses taken each semester while in high school. Driver Education, Action Education, and Physical Education do not count as credited courses.
  2. Using the chart above, assign a numerical value for each credited course that you have taken using the "Grade Points" column.
  3. Find the sum of all credited course numercial values and divide that sum by the number of credited courses taken. This will give you the straight (unweighted) GPA.
  4. Assign points for each honors or AP course you have taken using the numbers in the "Honor Points" and "AP Points" columns.
  5. Find the sum of all Honor Points and AP Points and multiply that by the Honors Points Multiplier (HP Multiplier). This will give you the Honors Points that you will be adding to the unweighted GPA.
    • The HP Multiplier is a function of how many semesters you have attended high school. The multiplier is figured by dividing 8 by the number of semesters you have completed. For example, at the end of the freshman year, you would multiply honor points by 4 (or 8/2). At the end of your sophomore year, you would us the HP Multiplier 2 (or 8/4). The multiplier at the end of your junior year by 4/3 (or 8/6). At the end of your senior year, you would use 1 (or 8/8).
  6. Unweighted GPA + (Honors/AP Points * HP Multiplier) = Final (Weighted) GPA
