Application Notes

  • UIUC no longer requires that students take the Writing portion of the ACT -- however, they do recommend it.
  • Unlike most other colleges, a transcript does not need to be requested/sent at the time of your application to UIUC. Once you are accepted to UIUC, a final transcript should be sent at the conclusion of your senior year.
  • ACT scores must be reported to UIUC directly from ACT. When you took the ACT, you had the option of having your scores sent to up to four colleges. If you included UIUC within those four, your scores will be sent directly from ACT. Otherwise, you will need to have your scores sent by visiting ACT.org.
  • If at all possible, apply to UIUC before their priority deadline of November 1. Your chances of being admitted are greatly reduced if you apply after this deadline.
